Protect the floor and surfaces with garbage bags when painting

Problem

Painting a house is no easy matter, especially if you are doing it yourself. In the process, it’s easy for paint to get on the floor or any other surface and ruin it.

Solution

Use Easy Pack garbage bags with handles or Power XXL garbage bags to protect floors, light fixtures and other items from paint in the area where you are working, like this:

  • Place one or more Power XXL garbage bags on the floor in front of the wall you are going to paint. Cut the side seams on the bag with scissors to increase the coverage area. For greater efficiency, you can secure the bags with some adhesive tape.
  • Put Easy Pack garbage bags with handles over light fixtures and other small items before tackling the ceiling. For extra protection against dust, tie the handles to secure.
  • Cover the sofa or other furniture with large garbage bags in the same way you prepared the floor covering.

 

Extra bonus: to keep the container where you put the paint clean, you can use SANITAS garbage bags for small bathroom bins. Place the bag in such a way that it covers the container and then pour the paint you’ll be using into the bag. When finished, remove the bag and your container will look as good as new.
